Observation details
Heard distinctive and vaguely familiar (out of place/mind) short cooing (initially 3-4 bouts, and another after a long pause) coming from brushy area adjacent Hilda Rd feeders and went and located the bird sitting under the canopy of a pine tree.. Larger/chunkier than MODO. Distant black “collar” noted with long squared tail, black base (one quarter) to tail, 3/4 whitish to the tip of undertail, and grey (not white per African Collared) undertail coverts. Later confirmed the song lacked the long, drawn-out rolling "r" aspect towards the end that is a hallmark of African Collard Dove song.
