Media notes
Songs from a male aggressively chasing a female. Recording begins with a BHCO gurgle song and ends (starting at 0:08.9) with what I believe is more BHCO noise. The songs in the middle are the SHCO.
Observation details
Two males, one female. Males all black with blue iridescent gloss like Boat-tailed Grackle. Roughly the same size/shape as nearby Brown-headed Cowbirds, but with flatter forehead and longer bill. I'm not familiar with how to distinguish females of these two species, but I'm pretty confident I saw at least one, identified by the forehead/bill shape as described earlier, plus the fact that a male SHCO was singing and chasing her.
