Observation details
While getting ready to leave the East Rim after seeing the Black Rosy Finches, I was chatting with someone and happened to see this bird land on a large rock down in the canyon below the east rim, so I grabbed my little Canon SX-50 and zoomed in on it snapped two photos. I was very surprised to see I had a hummer in the photo (it was a long ways away, shot at 200X digital). I showed the photos to Tim Blount when I got down off the mountain. He feels pretty good about this being BRHU. Another 'life' bird to add to my list.
