NOTES: (Altitude: btwn 75 and 300m; Breeding Status: Territorial; General Climate: Wet; Cover Den: Thick) Several song posts in forest at river Tombeling. Ventriloquial sound-type, at last mike directed towards a song post (10m distance) of two birds sitting ~1m close to each other on horizontal branches just below tree-top. Sometimes they give the two note call while mantle and neck feathers were raised slightly. Sometimes they sing, each individual sings. They generally start the song when they hear it from another song-post. After slowing down, sitting still and closing eyes, they get a shock when they hear the song at a distance and within a minute they produce it too. when singing, bill is slightly opened and in vibration, head is held a little downwards, no other movement. From 10:00 to 11:10 they sit on the same branch or two branches ~2m from each other. Number of individuals=AU2+;. Other Behaviors: Counter Singing, Advertise, Mate. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, River, Riparian.
