Observation details
Flyovers with two Marbled Godwit (the two that were feeding with Willets and WESA) at 10:47. Heard a Curlew calling behind me while watching the Kingbird, turned around and saw four godwit/Curlew type birds in flight, moving east to northwest. The Curlew was about 40 feet behind these four. Noticed that two were a darker, brownish/gray color overall, lacking the cinnamon buffy coloration of the godwits and Long-billed Curlew. Short, curved beak and very distinct crown pattern diagnostic for Whimbrel. Should have some flight shots of them flying away from me, with the two godwits for comparison.
