NOTES: USED IN PART IN 'FIELD GUIDE TO WESTERN BIRD SONGS'. [This brief recording appears to combine the"kia" or "kiaa-kiaa" Alarm Calls of nominate L. canus (see Figure II of Cramp et al. 1983. Handbook of the birds of Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa: the birds of the Western Palearctic. Vol. III. Oxford University Press, Oxford) of multiple birds, with one or two Long Calls, again possibly by more than one individual.
