NOTES: USED IN PART IN 'FIELD GUIDE TO WESTERN BIRD SONGS'. [This brief recording appears to combine the"kia" or "kiaa-kiaa" Alarm Calls of nominate L. canus (see Figure II of Cramp et al. 1983. Handbook of the birds of Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa: the birds of the Western Palearctic. Vol. III. Oxford University Press, Oxford) of multiple birds, with one or two Long Calls, again possibly by more than one individual. Note that these Alarm Calls are not comparable to those described in BNA, which instead appear to represent the Anxiety Calls of BWP. Quality unchanged (1-2) - CAM - 15 April 2005].
