Observation details
Continuing. Rarely sat still for long at the time we were there. Got a few good looks at brilliant bubble-gum pink gorget. Distinctive "rattle" often heard. Curiously aggressive bird, not only fighting often with other hummers, but even harassing a bluebird and a black phoebe. Focuses on middle of three pepper trees, but made regular forays to neighboring oak and small eucalyptus. Missed the killer gorget photo, but fun lifer for Sasha and me!
