Observation details
-Was first informed by Michael Force that he saw this bird behind the Calico building. I went to investigate and was surprised to find it along the same stretch (37.664849,-122.393490). There could have been a second individual that I heard but could never confirm visually. -It had a green wire band and its left leg making this an obvious escapee/exotic. This band is very similar to the one seen in San Francisco on 1 Sep 2015. -I am limited with my experiences with members of the Zosteropidae, and suggested this species based on what might be expected to the region. Any further analysis or thoughts are welcome. Responded strongly to Lowland White-eye songs and calls. Did not have Swinhoe's recording available to further attempt attraction. -More photos available, but the lighting is not the greatest.
