Observation details
We heard it singing and considered the song very similar to the wrens we heard and saw yesterday at Tsipirí , so we went closer, it was singing right next to the path very near to us, we sound recorded it and played back the recording. The bird jumped in to the open for a few seconds where and was seen very well: soft chestnut back, white throat and chest with small abundant black spots mostly on the chest and a few on the throat, white eye-brow. We tried to photograph it but the bird was very skittish (same behavior than the ones in Tsipirí and Vereh) we got to see it a couple of times more, but always very shy looking for cover to hide after about 2 seconds of being perched in the open, sadly never enough time for our Nikon P950 to focus. This suggests the range of this bird in Turrialba to be larger than previously thought.
