Observation details
Thought it was a Greater Sand-Plover at first but after checking with expert, am now confident that it is Kentish. Black terminal band with prominent white tail edges and bulge from tip of bill on top going halfway to base of bill appears to rule out Lesser Sand-Plover. Also, the legs of the juvenile are mostly very light grey, even yellowish in spots, the older one has grey with some greenish-yellowish on bottom half of the legs. Cannot rule out Greater Sand-Plover, but would be extremely rare to find it breeding here. Photos of all three attached; two were on the Southwest side of the bridge of Ma-2220 where the water from the reserve empties into the Mediterranean Sea, the third was on the seaside of the highway. I had only posted one of them previously, to a personal location adjacent to the Reserve, but updated it in January 2022 to this Hotspot, adding the photo of the juvenile I also observed.
