Media notes
A (presumed male) Band-tailed Pigeon is singing spontaneously from near the dead top of a living Arizona Cypress when a Sharp-shinned Hawk flies at it, which disturbs it, causing it to fly away. Background includes: Lesser Goldfinches, the Sharp-shinned Hawk (giving the high-pitched double notes at ca. 14” and (more clearly) at 44”), Curve-billed Thrasher, Cactus Wren, Pine Siskin, White-winged Dove. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
