Observation details
Careful count. Mostly in m/f pairs, with only a few singles hanging out with other ducks. All drakes that I saw were of the American ssp. Mostly associating with ABDU's. I could hear several males giving courtship/display calls, a high, whistled crick. Interestingly this is the same number of birds that I counted at Bisson's Farm on 04-02-2021! I likely missed some today that were concealed behind grass stubble or mud clumps. Tiny ducks!
