Observation details
As the result of my recent finding of a juvenile Long-billed Dowitcher on 9/15, Shai Mitra and Willie D'Anna reviewed my photos of the bird found on 9/6. They informed me that this too is a juvenile Long-billed Dowitcher in slightly different plumage. They mentioned several field marks indicating the identity, including the Black centered scapulars with rufous edging and the plain tertials with pale edges as opposed to rufous edges. This is the first record of this species for the county. Photos can be seen on this date at http://bashakillbirder.wordpress.com
