Observation details
More commonly heard rather than seen. This particular individual was calling pretty close to the road so I stopped for a few minutes to see if he'd expose himself. Fortunately he did, but only briefly. Within a few minutes a second bird appeared alongside the first. Very difficult to obtain in-focus images as the autofocus was thrown off by the reeds. Manual would've been beneficial, but I don't practice with it enough. I've been a bird watcher for years and always hear this species, but have never actually seen an individual until today. What surprised me the most was how tiny they are! First time photographing this species too :)
