Media notes
Two cuts of the same male Black-crested Antshrike, singing rom well developed scrub near the road edge above Ocumare. A more distant bird (perhaps the female?) can be heard in the background of the first cut. Background includes: Rufous-breasted Wrens, chattering Pale-tipped Tyrannulets, and a distant Red-legged Tinamou, as well as an unidentified high-pitched, hermit-like series of notes (in 2nd cut). Digitized from tape, recorded with a Sony TCM5000, using a Sennheiser ME66 shotgun mic with foam windscreen and a K6 power module from Saul Mineroff Electronics.
