agitated calls and song from a pair of birds. In the first cut, the call series at the beginning is given by both members immediately after playback, as they both perched near the top of a short pine tree. The twitter call at 0:36 and the songs afterwards given by the male bird, still perched on the pine tree, while the calls given from 0:58 onwards are given by the female perched on a short stalk not far off the ground nearby. Near the end of the cut the female again joins the male and is mostly silent until three final calls at the end of the cut. The second cut contains calls from both of the pair, and the third cut has agitated song from one of a pair of birds perched fairly low in a dry drainage. Habitat was very open pine forest with a grassy understory and a few smaller bushes.
