Observation details
On south side of Purdy Spit with large raft of Surf Scoters/Common Goldeneyes and a few other sea ducks. One was all black with smalll bill with orange knob on upper bill. The second one had very distinct dark cap with very light cheeks. The remaining two were similar to immatures as shown in Sibley. The group of four stayed together for the most part and were actively feeding/diving ttogether in contrast to the Surf Scoters. Poor photos.
