Observation details
This LBBG was photographed about a 3d of mile away in Pool 14 from the east end parking lot. I used a Canon SX60HS and my Apple 5s. The gull appeared to be larger than ring-billed gull which I have seen sitting on this dry mudflat before but smaller than a herring gull. It was white below and very dark gray to black above. The yellow bill was long and not very deep bill with a wide red spot on the lower mandible. The legs were the same bright yellow color. The bird was facing me most of the time. It stretched its wings twice and I could see the very dark wings and back. There was a white trailing edge to the wing, but I couldn't see any the wing tips as it was so far and happened quickly.
