Observation details
Clear sighting with a patch at three different locations, towards the point in the Island shore named as No.5 shore was abundantly have good numbers of fruiting trees but at the season the favourite Banayan tree fruits are ripened up which is attracting the Hornbills. 1st Patch with three banyan tree - counts made the approx 50% of today's count i.e. 22 2nd Patch at the midway a young banyan tree gives a good count of 13 birds ( here at this location I have recorded the call with my device) 3rd Patch 20-40 mtrs before Point No.5 again have a good number i.e. 8 Hornbill. Here I also notice a pair with same 3 nos. of beak horns. Other 5 birds have counted no the way itself at general nearby trees and the double counting are skipped with the difference of counts made through the to and fro journey on this particular day and time taken.
