Observation details
Continuing mega-rarity Bean Goose. ID consensus seems to be Tundra over very similar Taiga due to its relatively short, non-sloping (not "swan-like") bill, with orange restricted to its tip, and its smallish build. Bright orange legs stood out from the Canada Geese it was hanging with. Body plumage similar to the other gray-bodied Anser geese, like Greater White-fronted, without the White-fronts' black belly-barring. Seen from the back of the St. Kevin churchyard, overlooking the snow-covered, fenced Springfield Country Club. The Bean was hidden behind a hill when I arrived, but eventually waddled into view for a nice, if distant, look. Many observers.
