Observation details
Only because we heard a loud, fussing Clark's Nutcracker, did we see this Northern Saw Whet Owl. The Nutcracker was harassing it for the longest time and we didn't know why--was it a territory disupte? was the Nutcracker just a bully? At some point the Nutcracker appeared to leave and we then saw the owl eating a rodent that it had all along. We then noticed the Nutcracker in a nearby tree, not gone but it did seem to accept defeat. What an amazing scene to witness.
