Observation details
Speckling on the upper chest and throat. Complete white eye-ring. Reddish brown tail. This is a rare bird for early March. This may be the earliest record for my records of HETH. Well lite photos taken. At this location, in the grassy circle of the driveway, we found a winter Hermit Thrush which was well documented through photography. This appears to be an adult bird and possibly an adult female based on the amount of malar and upper chest speckling. We could not find any fruit locally but it was in the sunny grass eating something, possibly emerging in the heat of a cold day. It had recently been in the 20sF. This is either a later winter migrant or an early spring migrant?
