Lots of Spring Peepers calling in the background (eg https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/70366072) 300 Hz high pass filter for distant traffic noise
Observation details
Seen and heard calling from the top of the canopy, starting at 6:25. Series of 'whip' calls (not the classic 'whip-poor-will' song). Seen with naked eye silhouetted against the gloaming sky, but I was concentrating on recording the bird, so I did not look at it through binoculars. The shape and behavior, however, were distinctive as an obvious non-Chordeiles Caprimulgid.
