Observation details
Previously reported by Derek Lovitch. It was the only gull in sight, viewed to the south from the parking lot, a fair distance down on the beach. Almost too far to ID with binocs, but I snapped some photos and was able to ID as the same rare hybrid. Mottled black on head which ends in a sharp line on top of head. Reddish bill but with black ring. I viewed the bird flying and even from a good distance could see the leading white edge of wings. No photos of that though.
