Observation details
A single apparent NECO was seen initially in the south finger of the lake where it took off and made a fairly close fly-by next to the westernmost pier in the southeast corner of the lake. This was an obviously small and dark cormorant with a proportionally short bill and mostly dark lores. The bird also had a V-shaped white chin-patch. I had a possible second bird but was unable to get good looks at it before it dove and dissapeared.
