Media notes
Second recording, on ground at 18:29. All the "Peent" recordings were on the ground at the same spot. The male AMWO slowly spun around as he called, throwing his voice in different directions, so it sounds louder at times.
Observation details
I parked car about 6:20 at the yellow gate along left side of dirt road one-half mile south of upper boat ramp.. The Timberdoodle began his "Peent" sound at 18:27. Could see him dancing in front of white hull (garbage). Flew into air for sky dance at 18:32 for a minute. Repeated the peenting and flew up again at 18:36. In the sky again at 18:39. And 18:43. Each time making strange choppy noises and landing in same spot about a minute later. He spins slowly in a small circle on the ground; his call sounds louder when he faces me than when he faces away. Enough light that I could see him against the white object. He continued to peent until 18:48, ending with a very odd garbled Peent call.
