Observation details
A group of 5 large swifts, large enough to suggest Streptoprocne zonaris, but photos show frosting in lores on at least one individual, and lack of white collar on others. Wings appeared too long for Streptoprocne rutila. Some individuals had notably notched tails (similar to S. zonaris) while at least one had fairly squared tail (presumed female). The group was spotted several hundred meters away, over the Yeguare River, but fortunately flew towards us and nearly overhead, about 50 m above the ground, heading for the Santa Inés pine forests. Did not vocalize.
