Observation details
Continuing, viewed with many other birders. Bird was posted up in a scraggly tree in the NW corner of the smaller, eastern pond of the beef research area. Viewing distance was 200-300 yards. It would occasionally fly out and (assumedly) make attempts at catching rodents in the field, but would always return to the same tree. Front of bird was decidedly white overall; no belly band or prominent streaking present. Undersides of wings were predominately white as well, with black tipping seen on ends of primary and primary covert feathers. The head of the bird appeared a pale grey and had a dark eye bar. Both the basal area of its beak and its feet were a noticeable yellow (the former detail requiring a scope to see.)
