Observation details
General consensus is Tundra over Taiga, I have absolutely zero experience with either. Found this morning by Rob Fergus. Looked similar to Pink-footed goose with warm brown head, grayish back, orange bill with black base and tip. Bright orange legs. Marks for Tundra over Taiga include shorter neck and bill, transition from forehead to bill more abrupt and angled, not a smoother transition like a swan. Lifer but unfortunately not one I could hang around and enjoy. The bird spent most of the time out of sight in someone’s backyard.
