Intergrade male: Note red mark on nape, otherwise typical red-shafted. Underwings and rachuses orange in flight.
Observation details
Male and female, both intergrades as evidenced by a weak red “ crescent” on the otherwise typical red-shafted male, and a ragged, faint red mark on the nape of the otherwise typical yellow-shafted female.
