Observation details

Continuing here, found by Eileen. Along the road near the community gardens entrance. Foraging on sumac dropped onto the snow-covered ground. Expected Eastern/Northern subspecies by rich orange-reddish color overall. A reason for it overwintering here may be that it has a deformed/injured left leg! Heard doing soft ‘chuck’ calls a few times. Photos.
