Observation details

Small flock eating grit on road on loop between Jobes' Woods trailhead and end of one-way loop. They then flew up and some started feeding on Norway Spruce cones and others picking at bark? of large horizontal deciduous tree branch. A closer look at pictures later suggest about 10% of flock of 40 may have been Red Crossbills.
