Back view of a male Eastern bluebird.
Observation details
These bluebirds were drinking melted snow along the railing of a log cabin deck bordering a thin strip of woodland. Unusually uncharacteristic of this species to arrive so early and during the winter. Another observer noted the birds' arrival last week and can now confirm these were the same bluebirds.
