Media notes

The first two songs in this recording were made by a female cardinal only around 15 feet away (fully orange beak designating it as an adult). A second bird (sight unseen) can be heard singing at a distance. This female bird was perched at the top of a crabapple tree, around 8 feet off the ground. The two songs are relatively quiet. The calls recorded at the end of the end of the recording are also from this bird. Reduced the impact of traffic noise through the use of a scientific filter, 250 Hz cutoff, order 2. Contributed for the female bird song project: femalebirdsong.org.
