Observation details
Found by Doug today, but seems to be a continuing bird that has been in the area throughout the winter. Standing on iced over lake with large group of gulls, flushed a couple times but didn’t go too far. Enjoyed extended scope views of this bird and took photos. Distinguished from ring billed gull by thinner bill, pale grayish-blue at the base with black tip, slightly different coloring and pattern in wing coverts.
