Observation details
*rare in winter, and perhaps the farthest north winter record in NM in eBird. Seen in trees on the SE corner of Scholes Hall. Obvious Empidonax flycatcher with a long skinny tail and short primary extension. Pumping tail downwards constantly. Bill thin and orange below, tipped brown. Calling, a dry ‘whit.’
