Observation details
Small flock of finches; red on crown, black chin, streaked flanks. Irruption year. Feeding in the grass in the parking lot. I saw them immediately when I pulled in and they stayed around for the duration of the time I was there. They took off several times, but always returned. At one point a couple of them landed on the hood of my car! :)
