Observation details
**Significantly rare in NEFL. Another great find by Diane Reed who seems to find all manner of rare stuff in St. John's County. When we arrived, the bird had just flown out of sight to the north. Marie and I put our boots on and headed north along the edge of the creek. We walked about .25 mile up and lucked upon it feeding in a damp pasture of sorts. We observed it from 1020-1120am. Medium sized shorebird, long bicolored bill. Grayish neck and head with white eye brow. Barring on whitish underparts in the rump / vent area. Gorgeous rusty coloring through breast to neck.
