Observation details
While listening to Red-eyed Vireos, I realized one wasn't. Not convinced I was hearing a Blue-headed Vireo, I played a recording to confirm. Two birds flew into a nearby pine tree. I got good looks at both birds from a distance of 50 feet with my 10x50 bins. The bird in the top of the tree responded to my recording, while the bird on a lower branch just looked around. After a few minutes, I returned to my car for my camera. After a few minutes of waiting, the presumably male bird showed himself long enough to get a few photos.
