Observation details
Seen and heard well. Bird was located by voice and found perched singing from an exposed branch about 10 meters up. Fairly large hummingbird roughly comparable on size to male WN Jacobins seen frequently during the day. Bill was all dark, straight, and medium lenght. Upperparts were a uniform green with dark wings and tail. There was a pale post-ocular spot. Underside appeared rather dark and dull with dusky flanks a dull green wash on the throat. The underside of the closed tail showed prominent white tips on the outer 2-3 retrices.
