Observation details
Happened to glance out the window as a presumed gull was flying up the river. Grabbed in the bins, just because and was surprised to see it was actually a Great Egret. Hung out for about five minutes before flying south. I've had GREG fly-by about half a dozen times over the years, but this is the first one that's ever landed. It's also the first winter record as all prior ones have been late summer or fall.
