Observation details
Notes: North of the park I spotted 6 Buff-breasted Sandpipers in a field being plowed. Killdeers were the only other shorebirds in the field and they and the Buff-breasteds would flush at the last minute in front of the tractor and then circle around to feed where the tractor had just turned over the soil. I went to the Nature Ceter to tell Mike Runtz of my find. When I returned to the field the Buff-breasteds were much closer to the road and there were 16 of them.
