Media notes
Three cuts of dawn song of a dark-throated (adult male?) Scarlet-throated Tanager from a road-edge tree in deciduous habitat along the road about 2 kms before reaching the park entrance. Warley says that none of the Scarlet-throated Tanagers here have red throats. Background includes what sounds like a Pale-vented Pigeon as well as roosters and barking dogs. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
Observation details
A black-throated, presumed male was dawn-singing from high in a 20m legume tree at road edge along dirt road to the park from Montes Claros. Warley says all males here are black-throated.
