Observation details
The first audio starts with the Woodcock making aerial twitters, then at 43 to 53 seconds, the sound of the wing feathers whistling as it is falling, then it starts peenting calls for a while, and the twittering can be heard again at the end. The second audio is peents and the third one is wing noises, as it falls. Birds of the World says the male's outer primaries are narrowed which allows them to make the whistling noises. There is traffic noise from a nearby highway.
