Observation details
*Mega. Found by Steve Kolbe. Small alcid with a small yellow bill, dark face, white throat, and gray back. Spent more time below water than above. As I was timing it, it was above from 3-14 seconds, and would stay below, usually around 21 seconds, longest I recorded was 29.5 seconds. The diving behavior is really cool too. Right before it dives, it lifts its rear, dropping the neck, opens its bill (presumably for air), then stretches its wings almost fully open before launching under. Small yellow bill with gray back eliminate all other small alcids.
