Bird visibly perched atop small oak above me giving "chewb" calls with slightly more muffled and mewing quality than usual, especially toward beginning. Willow Flycatcher was first heard here while recording this chat in distance. Other background birds- Carolina Wren, Dickcissel, White-eyed Vireo, Indigo Bunting, Red-winged Blackbird, Eastern Towhee, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Brown-headed Cowbird. Also American bullfrog, green treefrog.
Observation details
This number seemed low afterward- frequently up to 4 birds calling at single stops.
