Observation details
Received a message that these birds were spotted a block or so away. Talking to the homeowner about Eurasian Collared-doves he thought that he might have had them at his feeders before explaining that they were bigger and more pale than Mourning Doves. I little while later while waiting for the Varied Thrush to appear 2 EUCO came in. With the other birds around it was noted how large they are. A few times they flew in the trees with the tails fanned out. Beautiful. When they flew away I first thought Sharp-shinned Hawk. That is how big they seemed. The flew to the west towards the Veterinary Clinic and High School.
