Observation details
***Rare Viewed/photographed on snow at the edge of the river. Coordinates: N64 34 17.25 by W165 34 52.974 Tail bobbed like a Spotted Sandpiper but my photos posted to WhatBird and BirdForum for additional input came back with several responses in favor of Common Sandpiper. Based on the plumage, leg color, dark bill color, longish tail, and behavior I feel Common Sandpiper is a good candidate.
