Observation details
I don’t know what these things are. I suspect some kind of GWFG hybrid but with what? Might not be first generation hybrids. They were subtle, very much like GWFG they were flocked with. I was searching for something like a bean or pink-footed goose, so these caught my eye. Their bills looked dark, with a yellowish base, but I think the bills had mud on them. The bills may have been dark under the mud but it was hard to tell. Both geese had cheeks slightly paler brown than their necks. This gave them a dark stripe on the top of their head and down the back of their neck, not nearly as strikingly contrasting as swan goose, but a similar pattern. Other than the bill and the cheek/neck contrast, these were very much like GWFG. Same size as nearby GWFG. They did not have the white front. The breast and belly were plain without any black marks. They had a strong white flank stripe.
