Observation details
First found this morning by Ian Woodfield, came to check it out due to date significance. Bird is very odd and not like any BWTE I've seen. White crescents continue over the eye and all the way down the back of the head and neck. Bird also shows all of it's namesake blue even in rest position, due to flight feathers that seem entirely missing, especially on the birds left side. These things make me wonder if this duck escaped/was released, but I assume it would need to be able to fly to get into the treatment container. It did stand at one point and showed no bands, so I'll report it as a wild bird, but I have my doubts.
